Marie-Françoise Sitnam

Senior Programme Manager

Marie-Françoise designs and leads GTS programming which combines perception surveys with relevant capacity strengthening projects in the Central and Western Africa region - supporting humanitarian country teams in their decision-making processes, and strengthening their response-wide accountability and feedback mechanisms.

She has worked as a Protection specialist across humanitarian responses, both implementing projects and orienting policy and strategy on human rights approaches. Most of her experience has been in management, coordination and advisory roles on programs through a human rights lens - looking to safeguard dignity, safety, and access to aid of most vulnerable groups affected by humanitarian crisis; as well as leading protection capacity-building for humanitarian staff and affected communities. She holds a master's in Human Rights Law from the University of London, and a bachelor's in International Development from McGill University.
